Taylor Baldwin, a software engineer from media company, BuzzFeed, has created a new 3-dimensional data visualization of Manhattan. The interactive tool, called All the Buildings in Manhattan, gives users the ability to pan, zoom and rotate their way through Manhattan’s architectural landscape using three different filters – age, building class and building height. Baldwin created the tool using the City’s own resources, including 3-D building model and PLUTO tax lot data, and suggests using Google Chrome when using the program, which can be found by clicking this link.
